Buyer's Guide - Front vs. Rear Wheel
All of the kaddies we sell are rear wheel drive and the remote kaddies are rear wheel steering. There are big differences between the front and rear wheel solutions and we believe that rear wheel solutions to be far superior. The center of gravity of a kaddy is very near the rear wheels, not the front wheel. You want maximum traction on the wheels that are providing steering and power - the rear wheels. If you are driving your kaddy up a hill even more of the weight is taken off the front wheel and transferred onto the back wheels. Once the weight comes off the front wheel it will most likely come off the ground and you will have to push your kaddy and steer it manually. Kaddy manufactures all know this to be true because they provide a 4th stabilizer wheel on the back of the kaddy to keep it from tipping over backwards on up hill slopes. Be very wary of kaddies that utilize the front wheel for either steering or power since you will end up using them like a non-motorized cart on a hilly course. |
