Buyer's Guide - Batteries

[Buyer's Guide Index]

All of the kaddies we sell include a sealed no maintenance 12 V battery and a trickle charger.  The life of the battery depends on how often you play and how well you maintain the battery.

The battery should be charged after every 18 hole round.  The battery will fully recharge in about 8 hours.  When you are not playing you should plug the battery into the charger and leave it there until your next round.  The trickle chargers will always keep the battery topped off and will not over charge or damage the battery.

The life of your battery depends greatly on how well you maintain it.  These batteries will last the longest when they are kept charged and are not stressed.  If you run a battery down to zero or very little charge it will stress the battery and reduce it's life span.  Some may want to test their kaddy to see if it can make 27 holes on a single charge but you would be reducing the life of the battery even if you made it to the club house.  If you routinely play more than 18 holes per day then it is best to purchase a second battery and charger and swap batteries after the first 18 holes.
